Today was an old friend of mine's birthday. How do I know this? I received an Outlook reminder this morning. She was a friend of mine in college when I was at CCC (Coffeyville Community College). So I realize that all of the contact information I have from her is incorrect.
So I set about Googling to see if I can uncover my friend's updated information. I went to some sites uncovering the fact that there are a ton of girls named Jennifer Lin and I am going to have pretty crappy luck trying to find her. Then I clicked on one of the sites with information on it and I saw this advertisement from Walmartfacts.com that had a girl in it. This girl looked familiar to me for some reason. Then I saw the name tag. Stefanie. How about that? I went to high school with the girl in the advertisement.
I remember her well because she once had a shirt on that was a parody of the Nike “Just Do It“ slogan. The shirt said “Just Do Me“ and then went into a whole bunch of other things. Pretty tasteless shirt if you ask me. I offered to burn it for her, which she declined. Needless to say she never wore the shirt to school again.
How weird is it that you go looking for someone you knew in college and you run into someone you haven't seen since you were in high school?
