I am about to send back some memory modules for the second time. I purchased 1GB (2 modules) of HyperX PC2700 DDR RAM from Kingston.com about a year ago. Right after I received the first set of modules, I started having system problems. Now I will be sending back the second set of modules because I am once again having system stability issues. I don't know what it is.
KHX2700K2/1G is the product part number on http://www.kingston.com
I begin to wonder if it is my configuration, or if this “high quality” memory really isn't as high quality as it is advertised to be. I reinstalled my Nanya PC2100 DDR RAM and my system is running smoother than ever. It reacts much faster, I believe it to be the true CS 2 Latency and not the HyperX. I only hope that Kingston actually read my request to test the memory modules they send me prior to sending me shoddy memory again. It has a Lifetime Warranty on it (thank goodness for small favors), and I am thankful that I never sold the older memory otherwise I wouldn't be online right now.
Is it too much to ask for quality anymore?
